Signarama Unveils New Look in ThurstonCounty

SAR_New_Look

Olympia, Wa—Over the past two years, Olympia’s Signarama has helped many businesses refresh their brands. It’s time for a role reversal as Signarama unveils its own rebranded look.

“We work with clients all the time to help them rebrand their businesses, including creating new signs, vehicle wraps and other ways to display an impactful brand change,” said Jeff Klingberg, local owner of Signarama in Olympia. “We know how important a company’s image is, which is why we decided to be one of the first Signarama locations in the country to rebrand our store.”

Signarama customers will see a fresh new logo along with a new tagline: “The Way to Grow Your Business,” which replaces “Where the World Goes For Signs.”

Signarama, the world’s largest sign franchise, provides a full range of comprehensive sign and graphic services to both the private and commercial segments of the community. The new tagline is meant to convey the company’s full range of capabilities and to remind customers of the personal attention and custom services Signarama offers.

Since opening, Signarama has been serving the local community with quality products and customer service in a constantly evolving market, offering a full range of comprehensive sign and graphic services, including impactful solutions from digital signs, vehicle wraps, banners, LED signs, to all traditional sign formats.

With brand recognition and local advertising becoming vitally important to small businesses, local entrepreneurs are increasingly relying on Signarama and its trained specialists who understand their unique advertising and marketing needs. Franchisees, like Klingberg, offer personal attention to the business needs of other owners within their communities.

Digital signs and the use of LEDs instead of neon represent some of the latest innovations in the industry. The commercial viability of LED lighting continues to appreciate because of its lower cost, efficiency and environmental benefits, while the digital sign market is expected to reach $13.8 billion in 2017, according to a study by Global Industry Analysts. The U.S. represents the largest regional market in the study.

As a testament to how fast technology is advancing, another innovation creating considerable buzz is 3D printing, which allows for the creation of a three-dimensional solid object of virtually any shape from a digital model. NASA even used the technology recently to produce a rocket engine injector, which successfully passed a series of hot-fire trials.

Signarama is the only sign franchise that offers online design and purchase of signs, banners and more. The e-commerce platform not only enhances the customer experience but allows Signarama owners to remain open for online business 24/7. With state-of-the-art software, equipment, materials and service, Signarama has maintained its position as the industry leader and where local businesses turn for their messaging needs.

As the market leader in a $49 billion industry, Signarama has nearly 900 locations worldwide. The company expects to open 50 more locations through the end of 2013 and have more than 1,200 locations worldwide by the end of 2016.

Sign Wavers

100_2041

Sign wavers are usually in the shape of an arrow, finger or other eye catching shape. They include a company’s name, logo, and sometimes special deals.  At first, that may not seem like an improvement over a neon sign or a person walking around in a sandwich-shaped billboard, but depending on how theatrical the person waving the sign is… they can attract a lot of business.

Wavers are quickly gaining notoriety in the sign world as a reputable and innovative way to promote a business.

Wade Swormstedt, editor of Signs of the Times, a trade magazine for the sign industry in Cincinnati, Ohio, explains that this is a variation of a technique long used in advertising. “Motion attracts attention,” says Swormstedt, “which is why you will see chasing neon lights, signs that actually rotate, full-wrap transit vehicles and trucks whose only purpose is to carry ads.”

Barnett concurs. “We’re so inundated with still images everywhere you look, and so when you actually see something moving, it really catches the eye. The average person really only has the attention span of one or two seconds, so when you want to tell someone about a product, you really only have a couple seconds.” He adds that the internet has proven people like to participate in the media. “So with sign wavers, people are attracted by what they see. They can participate by clapping or honking or taking pictures, and they’ll also read a message, and that message, of course, is the client.”

Branding Project – The Olympia Furniture Co.

Recently we had the opportunity to work with a new small business just opening in town, the Olympia Furniture Company located in the Westside Shopping Center on Harrison Ave. This is a perfect example of a small business really looking at their location and putting up eye catching signage that works appropriately. They have a store located downstairs in a building, which presented them with a challenge when it came to signage.

Signarama is proud to have branded and completely outfitted this new small business with all of their signage needs.

Once the project is completed they will have a lighted store sign, window wraps on the store and company truck, feather flags, and directional signage.
